This workshop considers ways of facilitating artist contracts and intersectional riders, in an effort to reshape prohibitive contractual frameworks towards process, collaboration, mutuality and shared risk. Addressing the inherent power dynamics embedded in contractual processes, the following inquiry guides this process: What kind of working relationships are being established? What logistics and barriers need to be thought more expansively about? How might a contract behave as a pragmatic, ethical, and embodied extension of the artwork and the processes that produce it?
