In 2018, I formed a research collaboration with filmmaker Jules Rosskam called Practices for Slow Encounters. Bringing our respective forms of documentary filmmaking and performance into conversation we ask: “How do we look with the body, not at the body?”

In 2020 and 2021 we engaged the diverse learning community of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in our praxis-based research through a series of public programs including a workshop for cinematic arts and dance makers, a screening of short film/video works, and an experimental lecture.
